Please review our water taxi and policies using our 20 ft Mako, “Poco Loco”. If for some reason this boat is not available, we have trusted captains / partners approved with their own dinghy and prices will vary. Guests may book online with Ship 2 Shore Key West in their Fare Harbor calendar; they have stricter policies-please read carefully.
The Poco Loco is located within the Garrison Bight complex, right next to Thai Island Restaurant. There are several other businesses at the same address (and food here is good too) and is in a rack and will need at least 2-4 hours’ notice as they close at 5 pm. However, if you want to book for a trip into town, we can place the boat on the wall to go up the next morning into the rack.
For our half day or full day charters, the water taxi fee is free; just if guests want to tip the captain it is appreciated (up to six people maximum by USCG and license, 2-4 people is a normal amount foir private charter). For our stay on board guests, the trip to the boat to board and check out return to land, we will pay the captain, just please consider a gratuity (most of them have Zenmo or pay pal etc. or cash). Check with Albert before arrival if you have questions.

If you know when you want to come in town before you arrive we can plan ahead. If you decide at last minute to try to come into town, we may not have time to find a driver / captain. Please give 2-4 hours’ notice or the evening before if you want to come and spend all day downtown. When getting ready to leave downtown via Uber, Lift etc please be at the dock on time -15 minutes early is preferred. If driving, parking in the lot next to Thai Island is no charge. There are some other parking options if that lot is full.
Our pricing is as follows:
$20 per person daytime to sunset times vary all year
$25 per person after sunset (5 pm – 9 pm) average sunset times
$35 per person from 9 pm – 11 pm
Drop off and pick up for the “Poco Loco” is THE WALKWAY in front of Thai Island Restaurant. If another operator captain or water taxi service is used, ask that provider. Some have stricter times and rules than we do, as they may have other riders to pick up or drop off.
PLEASE NO HARD LUGGAGE ITS HARD FOR YOU TO BOARD AND WILL TAKE UP A LOT OF SPACE ON A BOAT LET US STOW AWAY LONG-TERM TRIP LUGGAGE. PLEASE SOFT BAGS ONLY AND BRING A EXTRA SHOPPING STYLE BAG WITH YOUR OWN SNACKS AND BYOB. WE PROVIDE WATER AND ICE. IF YOU NEED TO RECHARGE YOUR PHONE ON LAND DURING LUNCH/DINNER BRING YOUR REGULAR ADAPTER AND PLUG IN AT RESTAURANT. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING A CAR CHARGER FOR DC AT THE BOAT AND A THIRD OPTION WE DO THINK YOU SHOULD INVEST OR BORROW FROM US IS AN EMERGENCY “POWER PACK” FOR PHONE OR IPAD/COMPUTER.

For more fun during your stay, sitting or floating in three or four feet of water is very relaxing at one of many sandbars around the Florida Keys. Get there fast then relax. BYOB and bring your own snacks. We provide a cooler with ice and bottled water. We can provide an extra towel if needed. 4 hours of having a blast on the water for your private motor boat trip is only $650 for the whole boat up to six people.
